In 2014, after eight years on staff with Gold Creek, Pastor Brian and a group of ordinary people started a campus in Woodinville of Gold Creek Church. He was excited to land in Woodinville because of the future expansion in the area, the migration of young families into the community, and– as overly spiritual, as it may sound – he truly felt God calling him to Woodinville time and time again. 

Between 2014 and 2019, the first home of GC Woodinville was at Brightwater sewage treatment plant. So many new faces, salvation, and baptisms came from this location. We were the only church in America in a sewage treatment plant! It provided a unique place to start a church, but space began to get tight in all areas. The dream of a permanent church building began in that humble setting.

By God's grace a location became available and in 2019, construction began on our church's new home. Although it was the middle of the pandemic, God was faithful and the funds were raised and loans secured to complete the construction of our new church home. We opened to the Woodinville community in September 2020. Since moving to our new location we have seen our church grow exponentially all while keeping our heart for our community, and families, and helping people find their way to Jesus Christ.

In 2024 on our 10th anniversary as a church, we were launched as a church plant out of Gold Creek. Compass City carries on the mission of Gold Creek to reach our community in this region of Washington State and beyond!
